The annual Lakewood Speedway Reunion is coming up in August at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame, located  at 415 HWY 53 E in Dawsonville, Georgia.  

Attendants are encouraged to bring any photos or memorabilia from the speedway.

Lakewood, which was located in Atlanta,  is recognized by historians as being the most historic and

important race track in the state.  Touted as the “Indianapolis of the South”, the speedway played host

to stock cars, Indy cars, motorcycles, sprint cars and more over the 62 years it was in existence.
